ヨハネ黙示録第六章一節
And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seals,
and I heard,as it were the noise of thunder ,
one of the four beasts saying,Come and see.
そして、神の子羊が封印の一つを開くのを、私は見た。
又、雷鳴と同時に、４頭の家畜の一頭が、
出て来て確かめなさい、と言うのを
私は、耳にした。

And I saw,and behold a white horse:
and he that sat on him had a bow;
and a crown was given unto him:
and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.
そこで、私は確かめた、そして、１頭の白馬を見た。
馬上の人は、頭を下げ、王冠が彼に授けられた。
それから、彼は遠方へ征服に出かけ、結果、征服した。

And there went out another horse that was red:
and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth，
and that they should kill one another:
and there was given unto him a great sword.
それから、そこに、もう一頭の馬が出て来た、栗毛だった。
そして、この世から秩序を奪う為に、彼に力が与えられた。
やがて、人々が互いに殺し合おうとは。そこで彼に兵馬の権が授けられた。

I heard the third beast say，Come and sea.
And beheld，and lo a black horse；
and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.
それから、彼が三つ目の封印を開いた時、
３頭目の家畜が、出て来て確かめなさい、と言うのを
私は、耳にした。
そこで、見ると、何と黒馬ではないか。
馬上の人は、手に天秤を持っていた。

A measure of wheat for a penny，and three
measures of barley for a penny；
and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

又、一ペニーで三枡の大麦、と言う声を耳にした
そして、そなたはオリーブ油やワインに窮せずと思えばいい
