but I can understand him―
even when he’s over at his house and he yells
and nobody knows what he means―
I know．I could tell other people for him.
If someone draws a horse for me，
I say ‘Draw two saddles ，one for me
and one for him. He's my friend ．’
And if I fell through a hole in the ice，
my friend would help me get out.

I call ‘Honey，come here，Honey’
and he comes．
その子は、未だ話せません。
それでも私は、彼が理解出来ます―
家でひっくり返って、悲鳴を上げ、
その子が何を言おうとしているのか分からない時でさえ―
私には、分かります。私は、あの子に代わって、他の人に伝えられます。
もし誰かが、私の為に一頭の馬を引いて行けば、
私は、「二つの鞍（くら）を付けてほしい、一つは私の為に、そしてもう一つは、あの子の為に。あの子は、私の仲良し。」
それから、もし私が氷の裂け目に落ちたら、私の仲良しは、きっと私を救い出そうとします。
その子は、未だ話せません。
それでも、私が呼べば返事をします。
私は、「ハニー、こちらにいらっしゃい、ハニー。」
すると、その子はやって来ます。
