We want to be like twins
with shoes like twins，and coats，
if one is plaid，the other
should be plaid too，like twins―
and when we go to spend the night，
we take all clothes the same，like twins.
We phone up each other ahead of time.

私達は、双子（ふたご）のようになりたい
双子に相応（ふさわ）しい靴を履き、そして、コートを着て、
もし、一人が格子縞なら、もう一人も格子縞でなければならない、
双子に相応しく―
そうして、二人が夜を過ごすようになれば、
服は皆、同じ物を選ぶ。双子に相応しく。
私達は、時間になる前に、お互いに電話で呼び出す。
―花模様の可愛いパジャマを、私達は持っている。
―そして私達の幼心に、オペラグラスに映る夜会を思い浮かばせる
―そして私達が共同墓地を通る時、二人共、同じように息を殺す、双子に相応しく、
私達が一緒に居なければ猶更（なおさら）。
