And I lost it.
何時の間にか、私は、それに逃げられた
I found another elephant
―someone threw it out I think―
with one ear bit
and it had an only eye
and I loved it so much―
私は、他の像を見付けた
―誰かが、見捨てたんだわ―
噛み切られた片方の耳
その上、片目しかなかった
そうして、私は、それをどんなにか可愛がった。
