I know a house ―
it’s not a squirrel house
it’s not a donkey house

and it's not up on a mountain

and it’s not down in a valley
and it’s not down in a hole
and it’s not down in a our alley
and it’s not up in our tree
or underneath the bed―

僕は、或る一軒の家を知っている―
それは、栗鼠（りす）の棲家ではない
それは驢馬（ろば）の棲家ではない
―当（まさ）に僕が言った様に―
つまりそれは、山の上に上ってはいない
つまりそれは、谷に落ちてはいない
つまりそれは、穴に落ちてはいない
つまりそれは、僕達の裏道辺りを下ってはいない
つまりそれは、僕達の木の中とかベッドの下に建ってはいない―
