Of his total credits, 75 were silent films and 65 were sound films (140 total); he directed four.

Now listen to this! Out in the country, close by the side of the road, there stood a country house;you yourself have certainly seen many just like it.In front of it was a little flower garden, with a painted fence around it. Close by the fence, in the midst of the most beautiful green grass beside a ditch, there grew a little daisy.The sun shone just as warmly and brightly on her as on the beautiful flowers inside the garden, and so she grew every hour. Until at last one morning she was in full bloom, with shining white petals spreading like rays around the little yellow sun in the center.
さあ、この話を聞いて下さい！片田舎の道の辺(ほとり）、そこに救貧院が立っていました。貴方方自身、きっと、それによく似たものをたくさん見た事があるでしょう。その前には、塗装された垣で囲んだ、小ぢんまりとした花壇がありました。垣にぴったりと寄り添うように、溝に沿って、一人（ひとしお）鮮やかな、青々とした葉の真ん中、そこに可愛らしいフランス菊が生えていました。庭の中の美しい花と全く同じくらい、彼女にも、暖めるかの如く、眩（まばゆ）い程に、陽が差していました。ですから、彼女は、刻々と育ちました。ついに或る朝、真ん中の、小さい黄色の大陽を取り巻く光線に似て、光を放つ白い花びらを広げて花開きました。

The daisy didn't think that she was a little despised flower that nobody would notice down there in the grass. No, indeed! She was a merry little daisy as she looked up at the warm sun and listened to the lark singing high in the sky.Yes, the little daisy was as happy as if this were a grand holiday, yet it was only a Monday, and all the children were in school. While they sat on their benches, learning things, the daisy sat on her little green stalk and learned from the warm sun and everything about her just how good God is.
The daisy couldn't talk, but high above her the lark sang loudly and beautifully all the things that the little flower felt, and that made the daisy very glad. The daisy looked up at the happy bird who could sing and fly, but she wasn't envious because she couldn't do those fine things, too.
フランス菊は、葉に包まれたそこの下に気付く人のいない、粗末な、見下された花だとは思っていません。いえ、確かに！彼女は、暖かい太陽を見上げ、雲雀が空で甲高く囀るのを聞くような、陽気な可愛いフランス菊でした。そう、可愛いフランス菊は、これが豪勢な休日だったら、この上なく幸せでした、けれども、月曜日になったばかりで、子供達は皆、学校にいました。彼らが、色んな事を学びながら、席に座っている間（ま）に、フランス菊は、彼女の細く、青い茎の上に座って、暖かい太陽から、又、正に神様が如何に立派であるかについて大切な事を、学びました。フランス菊は、お話が出来ません。しかし、彼女の頭上高く、雲雀が声高に、見事に、可愛らしい花が感じた事の全てを歌にしました。そしてそれは、フランス菊をとても満足させました。フランス菊は、嗚いたり、飛んだりする事の出来るその幸せな鳥を見上げました。それでも彼女は、羨ましげではありませんでした。彼女は、そんな立派な事も又、出来なかったからです。

"I can see and hear," the daisy thought, "and the sun shines on me and the forest kisses me. How gifted I am!"
「私は、見たり聞いたりする事が出来る。」とフランス菊は、思いました。「それに私の上に陽は差しているし、森は、私にキスする。どれ位、私は授けられているのでしょう！」

None of them noticed the little daisy outside, but the daisy could see them and thought, "How rich and beautiful they are! I am sure the pretty lark flies across to them and visits them.Thank God that I stand close enough so that I can see them!" But just as she thought that-keevit-down came the lark!
彼女達は、一人外れた所にいる可愛いフランス菊に気付きません。しかし、フランス菊は、彼女達を見られました。そして、彼女達は、何て恵まれていて、美しいの。と思いました。私は、必ず、可愛い雲雀は、彼女達の方に橫様に飛んで、彼女達を訪ねるものだと思っています。ところが、彼女が、あのキ―ヴィットゥの下降を心に描いた、その様に、雲雀が現れたのです！
But he didn't come down to the peonies or the tulips! No, indeed, he flew right down into the grass to the poor daisy, who was so overjoyed that she didn't know what to think.
ともかく彼は、芍薬かチュ―リップの所に下りたのではありません。
いえ、それどころか、彼は、不運なフランス菊を目指し、葉の中に
真っ直ぐ舞い降りました。彼女は、余りにも嬉し過ぎて、どう考えればいいのか分かりませんでした。

The little bird danced around the daisy and sang, "How soft the grass is here, and what a lovely little flower! With gold in her heart and silver on her dress!" You see, the yellow heart of the daisy looked like gold, and the little petals around it were silvery white.
小さな烏は、フランス菊の周りで、踊ったり、囀ったりしました。

How happy the little daisy was no one can conceive. The bird kissed her with his beak, sang to her, and then flew up again-into the bright, blue air. It was at least a quarter of an hour before the daisy could recover from her joy!Then, almost ashamed, yet sincerely happy, she peeped over at the flowers in the garden, for they had seen the honor and happiness that had come to her, and would understand her joy. But the tulips stood up twice as stiff as before, and looked very haughty and very red in the face because they were very annoyed. The fatheaded peonies were jealous-bah! - and it was lucky they couldn't speak, or the daisy would have received a good scolding. The poor little flower could see they were not in a good humor, and that made her very sad.
可愛いフランス菊が、どれ程幸福だったかは、誰一人思いも及びませんでした。小鳥は、彼の嘴で彼女にキスをしました。彼女の為に囀り、それから再び眩い程の青い空の中に、飛んで上って行きました。フランス菊が彼女の喜びから正気に戻られるまでに、少くとも15分かかりました。その後も、気が引けて仕方なかったのですが、本当に幸せで、彼女は、庭の花をちらっと何度か窺いました。彼女達は、彼女に振り掛かった光栄と幸福を、目の当たりにしたところですから。そこで、彼女の喜びを分かろうとしました。しかし、チュ―リップは、以前と同じ様に、毅然として、二度、直立しました。それに、非常に傲慢、赤らんだ面持ちに見えました。というのは、彼女達が、とても苛々していたからです。愚かな芍薬は、焼き餅を焼いてふふん！-彼女達が口を利けなくて、幸いでした。いえ、フランス菊は、かなりの小言を頂かざるを得ませんでした。この不運な可愛い花は、彼女達が、いい気分ではないように思えました。そして、それは、彼女をとても悲しませました。

岩波書店「アンデルセン童話集」大畑末吉訳は、私が翻訳を始めて以来、何度も私から盗んで改訳を繰り返しています。
立原えりか訳「アンデルセン童和名作集」は、大畑末吉訳「アンデルセン童話集」を盗用、過去の日付けで出版されています。

西村書店は、人の覗き見、訳者、他社の盗用を目的とした出版社です。
西村書店のアンデルセン童話全集全3巻は、何を収め、何を訳したかの明記がなく、天沼 春樹の頭脳、学歴では、６００ペ―ジもの翻訳文を三冊、その上、6００ぺ―ジを超えるグリム童話集その他著作も含め多数を四年で訳し、又書くのは不可能です。
これは、過去の訳を盗み、何百人何千人もの訳者を使っているから出来る事です。
彼ら翻訳泥棒には、文部科学省と、地域再生 - 地方創生推進室から国費が支給されています。
